Thirty-seven questions you should be asking yourself when assessing a business model and/or a product. This is a framework I've created that breaks it down into 4 categories for consideration: Macroeconomic factors, Microeconomic factors, Financial factors, and Logistical factors.
Every company needs various different technology for various different business processes. When defining the optimal suite of software for your business, there are many considerations. Does the software fulfill all the business requirements you need it to? Does it integrate into our existing suite? Is this a scalable solution? What should we select first, our accounting system or our CRM? Different software integrates differently with each other because they are developed separately (unless you are using only a single ERP system developed by someone like Oracle or SAP) making where to start your software suite a difficult question.
This flowchart was created to help assist in solving those questions. It defines a general flow of information between systems, allowing an IT manager to more effectively know where to start selecting what software for their startup based on how many other software each node connects to.
For example, if you can show that a CRM has a lot more data flowing into it than out of it, then it's likely that you would want to begin defining your suite with a CRM with lots of integration features, and then looking for technology that works with that, a task made easier by starting with a CRM that has a lot of integrations. This particular scenario is not necessarily true, as the optimal situation depends on company, their existing suite, and what's most important to them. This is simply a visual aid to help guide the technology suite selection.
Why does some content marketing do better than others? Why do blog posts with negative titles (eg. "10 Ways to Make Your Marketing Not Suck") get more views than those with positive ones (eg. "10 Ways to Improve Your Marketing")? There has been extensive research on how and which emotional impulses make content perform better. I have read much of this research and used the metrics listed to create a checklist (which I hope to develop into a scorecard eventually) to be used for analyzing any content marketing before posting it to see how well it compares to what research tells us we should be posting. This can be a useful tool for anyone doing any sort of content marketing.
