The Vancouver Young Entrepreneurs Network is a highly exclusive group consisting of over 30 of Vancouver’s best and most accomplished entrepreneurs below the age of 35, with members owning and creating millions in market capitalization through their various startups and established businesses. Some examples of members include those from the BC top 30 under 30, those accepted into Vancouver’s most prestigious incubators and accelerators such as the Next Big Thing, Launch Academy, Hatch UBC as well Techstars out of Seattle, and those coming out of entrepreneurship programs from some of the best schools in Canada residing in Vancouver.
The network provides services to members such as networking events with members and potential investors and may provide other services such as monthly newsletters, internal communication systems, and startup consulting, mentorship, and acceleration services.'
VYEN Membership and all the benefits that come from it are FREE FOR ALL MEMBERS and aims to host networking events at least once every two months.
VYEN is a non-profit community & volunteer run organization.
One of the goals of VYEN is to provide networking events for entrepreneurs because unfortunately, a lot of the events already out there are often filled with people who enjoy the idea of starting their own business but have yet to actually do it. Unfortunately, this means existing events in Vancouver are often filled with people who, without this experience, cannot provide much insight or value to entrepreneurs who have, defeating the purpose for them to attend such an event. VYEN solves this by being exclusive to only people who have actually started their own businesses, and is generally targeted towards entrepreneurs aged 35 and below, however any entrepreneur of any age may join if they meet the requirements of showing entrepreneurial activity and promise. This network is primarily targeted towards co-founders, not simply employees of startups.
The primary goal of VYEN is to provide networking opportunities and benefits for entrepreneurs by entrepreneurs, through ensuring that the only people who are coming to events are other entrepreneurs rather than those simply playing with the idea of it, or aspiring to become one.
